Glass-to-Glass Hinge Frameless Shower with a Centered Door Design

Most shower enclosures are straightforward - door on the side, standard hinges, done. But when a customer wants something that feels more intentional, more designed, that's where things get interesting. A centered door with a glass-to-glass hinge setup is one of those details that makes people stop and actually look at the shower.

Here's what we were working with - a corner shower space with a low knee wall on one side and a full-height glass panel on the other. The challenge with a centered door isn't just the look, it's the engineering. Glass-to-glass hinges carry the full weight of the door without any wall support on the hinge side. Every measurement has to be exact. There's no margin for error.

The hardware is matte black throughout - hinges, handle, wall clips - which ties directly into the dark fixtures already in the bathroom. That kind of coordination matters more than people realize. When the hardware doesn't match the rest of the room, it sticks out. When it does, the whole space just feels put together.

We can work with just about any shower layout. Whether you have a simple alcove that needs a clean single door, or a more complex space that calls for a custom frameless enclosure, we design around what the room actually needs - not just what's easiest to install. The end result should feel like it was always part of the space.

A great shower changes how a bathroom feels to use every single day. It's not just about looks. It's about opening a door that swings cleanly, glass that stays clear, and hardware that holds up over time. That's what we focus on with every frameless shower door installation we do.
